Celebrating 10 years of uniting diverse communities and celebrating international culture!
Established in 2011, Worldtown started as a DJ driven dance party celebrating international culture in Philadelphia through global dance music curated by DJs Ben Arsenal and Oluwafemi. Since the inception, Worldtown has rooted itself as an inclusive and energizing project that welcomes connection between diverse people. Over the years, the DJs evolved the project including live musicians performing over original compositions that has evolved into a LIVE eight piece group focusing its musical foundation around the worlds common musical language: house music.
In 2008, Worldtown Soundsystem released its debut EP ‘Worldtown Soundsystem’, followed by ‘The Frame’ and then ‘Freedom’ which featured up and coming vocalist Zeek Burse and Grammy winning string arranger Larry Gold along side 5x Grammy winning percussionist Pablo Batista.
Along with celebrating 10 years of activity, Worldtown is releasing ‘Surrounded’ featuring French- American vocalist Morgane Fause along with remixes by 104bpm (South Africa), Paul2Paul (Russia), and finally Ben Arsenal & Curtis Remarc (USA).
The celebration will take place at Brooklyn Bowl Philly with a hand selected line up of guest performances. Expect to celebrate with Philaderlphia’s most diverse community on a high voltage dancefloor to the WORLDTOWN beat.
